This is a space where I share my personal experiences working as a fledgling Spanish language interpreter in Alabama, an area of the US where interpreting and translating services are needed but still highly misunderstood. I cover topics that come up as an interpreter working somewhere that is akin to the “Wild West” in terms of the professional landscape. I also document my continued journey in this wonderful profession in order to serve as a source for those starting out or aspiring to work in our field.
